Viridian
Old Holland’s Viridian Green Deep is the bluest of the viridans we have tested (with PG18 listed as a single pigment). Some viridian colors change a bit when dried. At first Williamsburg appeared similarly blue, however once dried the Old Holland was the bluest. Both were deep in value in masstone. In consistency Old Holland Viridian Green Deep is fairly thick with bubbles in the paint (most of the high end viridians had some bubbles). While we did not do a formal drawdown, this paint has a high degree of opacity.
Old Holland offers two Viridians, and of the two, this one is a single pigment. The other mixture (Viridian light)includes a yellow.
