Williamsburg’s Cadmium Green hits a nice note as a lovely foliage green that looks oh-so-good side by side with Williamsburg’s Cadmium Green Light. Cadmium green notes vary brand-to-brand so the hues are worth exploring across brands. One can mix one’s own convenience greens and cadmium greens. However while we’ve been on both sides of the pros vs. cons of convenience greens, the more we paint the more we love convenience greens in general— provided they are made with lightfast yellows. This color has outstandingly high pigment and strong tinting strength.
As a mixture, this color does not appear to have been specifically mentioned, however it is worth noting that Golden published groundbreaking lightfastness testing in various white colors.
