Vasari Cinnabar Green Light

Happy Spring, and More Green!

The Paint of the Week is Vasari's Cinnabar Green Light.

This is a somewhat mysterious convenience hue which is well-suited for landscape. It behaves a bit similarly to a cadmium yellow mixed with ultramarine but there is a bit more to the hue than that- it displays a lot of chroma when spread thinly. The masstone has a slightly muted chroma and is a middle value on Munsell.

It has great flow and spreadability, which we would expect with Vasari.
