Cobalt Yellow Discontinued

Aureolin, or historical Cobalt Yellow was among the recent pigment discontinuations.

It does not have the best lightfastness but that has not stopped painters from using Cobalt Yellow through the ages. It has been described as a color “like the yellow of some of Turner’s skies,” as Golden put it. Many brands still seem to have this color in stock, which is good if you are an Aureolin aficionado.
