Diketo-pyrrolo Pyrrole Orange
This smashing transparent and hard-to-find orange shares a name with a different, more popular Pyrrole Orange, PO73, which is also called "Pyrrole Orange." Sometimes PO71 is known as Transparent Orange or Transparent Pyrrole Orange. This somewhat rare pigment is a deep, bright red orange. It has a depth as well as a vibrancy when used in transparency, and like most transparent pigments in masstone it is quite dark. In terms of lightfastness, some sources list this as ASTM II (very good), others as somewhere between decent and excellent on the blue wool scale. Schmincke gives their version in watercolor three out of five stars for lightfastness, meaning lightfast but not the highest lightfastness. Transparent Pyrrole Orange is one of several DPP pigments. It is much more commonly found in watercolor than oils, and PO71 is offered by only one major oil and acrylic paintmaker, however about 8 paintmakers offer it watercolor.

Very Good but not Excellent
While not rated by the ASTM, some sources show a slight change in masstone (still talking 7s and 8s — very high marks on the BWS). However Artiscreation lists a probable ASTM rating of II meaning very good.
