Cinquasia Yellow Gold
Quinacridone Deep Gold
Radiant, especially in mixtures to create botanical greens, Quinacridone Gold is a complex transparent yellow. This color is unfortunately extinct, and there was great mourning when it left the art supply store shelves. The loss was especially felt in the world of watercolor, though it is also missed in other mediums. PO49 has been gone long enough that it is quite rare to find tubes of genuine color.

Vintage oil paint made by Daniel Smith in Quinacridone Gold, PO49
A wonder-pigment from the the automotive industry, there isn't anything exactly like it. There are a few ways to try to emulate Quinacridone Gold though mixes but none have gained a following like the original. We’ve done some tests on pigments which can come close. If you're purchasing it, be on the lookout for imitations. Real Quinacridone Gold is interesting to try.
