Phthalocyanine Blue RS
Lamp Black
A note on availability for painters in the U.S.A.— at this writing, for colors not currently stocked by Jerry’s, Charvin informed us that these colors cannot be ordered directly from the Charvin store. For painters in other parts of the world, it might also be a good idea to contact Charvin before ordering directly. More information about this color can be found here: https://charvin-arts.com/gb/huiles-extra-fines-60-ml/2224-leaded-grey-60ml.html
With Charvin’s paint, not all of the pigments are necessarily to be found on the label. While we always wish to know the pigments, this can be of particular concern with pastel blends as the white pigment(s) are not mentioned. When we reached out to Charvin for clarity, their representative directed us to the brochure. However the brochure was what gave rise to our questions, as we noticed pastel blends that did not have a white pigment listed and only gave a high chroma colorant. As another example there was also a green with only a yellow pigment listed. For this reason we haven’t listed any of their paints as likely to be single pigments, simply as there is not a lot of certainty about their contents. Also it may be helpful to distinguish between their two lines of oil paints. The Super Fine and the Extra-Fine paints are different, and the Super Fine series only come in 150ml quantities. The Extra-Fine paints come in several sizes. There is an overlap of names between the two series, however the Extra-Fine range has a broader number of colors.
