Isaro’s Ultramarine Blue has high chroma and a thick viscosity. This paint has a unique consistency among ultramarines we’ve tried. The paint isn’t grainy, though it does have a noticeable feel under the palette knife— the paint is definitely flowing even though it is thick. This color has some heft and has a heavy consistency. However this color is not extremely highly pigmented. For contrast, it has slightly less tinting strength than RGH, Winsor and Newton, or Gamblin.
